  1. There's very little study or restoration happening in Nova Roma. It's an online role-playing group, with endless petty bickering and chest-beating by pompous "magistrates" arguing about the laws they've made up.

    They've intimidated most of the serious Latinists and classical scholars into resigning. Its most popular mailing list (the "Back Alley") features weekly postings of soft-core porn.

    Beware.
