New UNESCO world heritage sites have been designated across Germany, from a proto-Bauhaus factory to lush green beech forests to windswept northern coastal mudflats to ancient alpine pile dwellings.
At its 35th session held in Paris from June 19 to 29, UNESCO's World Heritage Committee inscribed a total of 25 new sites on its World Heritage List, including natural and cultural properties.
