The Texas Language Center would like to invite you to attend their upcoming workshop Culture Shock: Developing Authentic Materials for Increasing Foreign Language Proficiency on Saturday, August 24 from 9am to 3pm at the University of Texas at Austin. In this workshop you will learn how to develop materials and activities that will increase your students' cultural literacy and proficiency in a motivating and engaging manner. Examples will be given in Arabic, Czech, Italian, and Russian; however the workshop is applicable to all language classrooms. A hands-on session will follow the presentations...bring your laptop!
This workshop offers five hours of CPE credit.
