“The Master Apprentice Language Learning Program was conceived and developed in 1992 at the first language conference for Native Californians presented by the Native California Network (NCN). The idea was to have a team consisting of a speaker of an endangered language and a younger member of the community so they can work together one on one. The method promotes language use and learning through one-on-one language immersion." -How to Keep Your Language Alive: A Commonsense Approach to One-on-One Language Learning
