Symposium: Advancing Language Education beyond the Classroom

Recent initiatives such as Coursera, the Open University and the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning are leading the way for new educational experiences, structures and opportunities that are being defined by open participatory social networks and platforms and designed on sound pedagogical foundations. In this symposium, we will examine what we have already learned from online language education and what the future may hold.
