DO YOU want to learn how to use e-learning to teach about the world? Perhaps to help students understand current events, diverse cultures, or global environmental, political, economic, environmental change and interconnectedness?
In SP11’s 925.28 you will:
* Explore how teachers in several countries are using Web 2.0 tools and other e-learning strategies to teach about a variety of K-12 world-related topics and subjects.
* Experiment with diverse ways to communicate online, access primary sources, create cross-cultural learning experiences, find ways to collaborate with teachers, students, and organizations in other countries.
This is not a course in technology. It is a course in using e-learning technologies to improve student understanding of their world and intercultural skills in working across cultures. You will learn how teachers are using tools like podcasts, blogs or social networking sites but you will not have lessons on how to make your own.
