Theme: Linguistic Solutions to Regional Challenges in Language Learning
The Foreign Language Program Office of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the National Cryptologic School (NCS), and the Center for Afghanistan Studies (CAS) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha are pleased to announce that the AF-PAK LEARN Conference for instructors of Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Baluchi, Dari, Pashto, Uzbek, and Tajik will be held Monday, May 16 through Tuesday, May 18, 2011. The LEARN conferences provide language professionals with a venue where they can interact with their colleagues and give them the opportunity to discuss and explore issues related to the science and technology of foreign language education. The 2011 AF-PAK LEARN Conference held at CAS is open to all instructors of the languages above from any U.S. Government-affiliated institution. The 2011 AF-PAK LEARN Conference Steering Committee invites anyone involved in instruction of these languages at a U.S. Government-affiliated institution to submit a proposal for presentation at the conference.
