From the LLTI listserv:
On Friday September 14 at 3:00 pm ET/2 pm CT/1:00 MT/12:00 PT, please join Kristy Britt, Mike Ledgerwood, and Sharon Scinicariello for a panel discussion on the topic of "Program Assessment in Foreign Languages: How Language Centers Can Help."
As accreditation agencies demand evidence during institutional reaccreditation of what students know and are able to do after completing a particular course of study, helping language departments conduct the program assessments that will give them this information is becoming an increasingly important part of the work conducted by language centers. The panelists are all members of IALLT who have participated in program assessment initiatives at their schools. They will talk about program assessment initiatives in which they have participated and explain the roles that language center directors can play in these critical initiatives.
To sign up for the webinar, please visit the IALLT website at http://www.iallt.org . Click on the "Conferences" heading and select the "webinar" page, then fill in the registration form. In order to allow time for panelists to address questions from participants, seats are limited, so don't delay signing up! Once you have filled in the registration form, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the webinar a few days before the webinar happens. If you run into any problems accessing the relevant section of the website, please email Sarah Withee swithee at coloradocollege dot edu and I will assist you.
Hope to "see" you a week from Friday!
