The Summer 2012 issue of the ESL GLOBE has just been published.
You can find it at: http://www.ncsu.edu/eslglobe
The focus of this issue is how instructional models must change to meet the needs of 21st century learners. The learning and thinking styles of today's digital native students differ sharply from those of their 20th century predecessors, and many forward-thinking educators consider it a moral imperative to develop and implement strategies for interactive, collaborative learning driven by new technologies.
This issue takes a look at MOOCS, flipped classrooms, crowdsourcing, and the highly successful initiative of the Khan Academy.
As usual, there are tips for the ESL classroom, discussions of current issues, and lists of resources and books.
