Opportunity: Experienced French/Spanish Teachers Wanted for Review Panel

Avant Assessment is looking for experienced French and Spanish teachers to assist in the review of a language proficiency test.

Required qualifications:

• Five years of professional experience teaching French/Spanish to English native speakers at the high school or university level
• Experience using the ACTFL and/or IRL proficiency scale
• Experience teaching learners at the (ACTFL) Advanced proficiency level
• Basic Microsoft Excel and internet navigation skills and access to a high-speed Internet connection

This is a one-time, independent contractor assignment. Reviewers will review test items for content accuracy and difficulty. The expected workload is approximately 8-10 hours, plus a one-hour mandatory orientation. Following the orientation, reviewers will access the test online and record their results in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

The orientation session and all reviews are performed online, and reviewers can work from anywhere in the world as long as they have access to a high-speed Internet connection.

The anticipated date for the orientation is Friday, August 10th. Following the orientation, reviewers will have the weekend to complete the review. Compensation is $400. Qualified individuals should send their CVs and brief statements of interest to jan dot beck at avantassessment dot com
