Georgetown University (Washington, DC) will present Approaches to Teaching the Middle East, a one-week workshop for K-12 teachers, June 24-28, 2013. This program offers a multidisciplinary approach to teaching about the countries of southwestern Asia and northern Africa. There will be readings and hands-on activities, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and engage in discussions. Each teacher participant will receive $100 worth of resources, background information, and teaching materials. Deadline for application: May 10, 2013.
