If you’re part of a language exploratory course or presentation, or if you want to encourage your students to explore different languages, or if you’re looking for basic phrases in a variety of world languages, sites like SurfaceLanguages may be useful.
Surfacelanguages contains words, phrases and expressions in thirty-five different languages along with audio, flashcard and multiple choice methods of learning them. The coverage is superficial, but fairly media-rich. The site is available at http://www.surfacelanguages.com
